Main Street will be closed in front of the park, there'll be cool, refreshing beverages available, and we'll be performing two huge sets throughout the day - a Happy Hour Show & After Dinner Show. The Desert Furs
Psychedelic Fur funk, Jam & Rock
The Desert Furs are an electrifying psychedelic rock and jam quartet from Longmont, Colorado. Formed in 2019, the band consists of guitarist and lead singer, Billy Wassung, Jon Studtmann on bass and vocals, Cody Bump on keyboards, synths and vocals, and Alex Thiessen on drums and percussion.
Drawing inspiration from the rich legacy and funky grooves of the 60's, 70's and beyond, The Desert Furs weave a unique sonic tapestry of original songs with luscious tones, atmospheric textures, inspired jamming, and a unifying message of love.
The band is led by charismatic front man and primary songwriter, Billy Wassung, whose soulful vocals, and heartfelt cosmic indie creations serve as the band’s driving force. Wassung and Studtmann’s thought-provoking lyrics explore themes of love, nature, freedom, and the human experience, creating a profound connection with listeners.
